Maintenance Technician Senior - Millennium Space Systems

Under direction, performs various skilled maintenance for Millennium’s facilities dept. Responsible for skilled maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, grounds, electrical, heating, ventilation, machine maintenance and repair, and air conditioning (HVAC). In addition, leads and trains lower-level staff; ensures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition; and performs related work as required.

This position's internal job code is MAINTTECH. We are currently hiring for Grade 24. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required

• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues

• Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security, by applying preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems

• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard

• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly

• Maintain and repair production equipment as assigned

• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies

• Maintain records and logs of daily activities

• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures

• Performs custodial tasks as needed

• Assists with structural pest control measures

• Assists with Millennium’s monthly special events as needed

• Assists with office and equipment moves as assigned

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures

• Provides guidance and training to lower-level staff

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5 years minimum of relevant maintenance experience

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work at varying heights and cramped spaces

• Experience with Aerospace production equipment ( e.g. TVAC, thermocycle chambers, vibration operations)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Minimum 5+ years of Integration experience

•  EPA Universal license 608

• NATE certification (HVAC)

• Level 1 infrared thermographer certification.

•  Machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

•  Security clearance

•  Programmable logic experience (PLC)

• California building code knowledge
