Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Medical Injection Molding Co-Op located in our Libertyville, IL site.
Reporting to Process Engineering Team, the Intern will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist Engineering Team with medical injection molding tasks to include reviewing and communicating opportunities for process improvement and any process problems with peers, supervisors/leads, and/or manufacturing support
- Collaborate with Engineering Team with writing reports and reporting findings to team
- Learning new processes and evaluating results
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
- Graduate student pursuing Electrical & Computer Engineering degree (MS level)
- Understanding of an Injection Molding Process
- CAD tools (Solidworks, AutoCAD) experience
- Lean/Six Sigma helpful
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
- Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
- Previous internship/co-op experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- Ability to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the assignment (in-person)
- Currently enrolled in accredited university
- 3.0 GPA min
