About the role

Luminary Group is partnering with a leading life science company to hire a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director specializing in Diagnostics for Alzheimer's disease to join their team. As the Medical Director, you will provide clinical and scientific expertise in the development and commercialization of diagnostic solutions for Alzheimer's disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the medical strategy and vision for diagnostic solutions in Alzheimer's disease.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams in the design, development, and execution of clinical studies.
  • Provide medical guidance and oversight throughout the diagnostic product lifecycle, including preclinical and clinical development, regulatory submissions, and commercialization.
  • Review and interpret clinical data, and contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, regulatory agencies, and diagnostic partners.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Alzheimer's disease diagnostics, biomarkers, and related therapeutic areas.
  • Contribute to medical and scientific training programs for internal teams and external collaborators.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Provide medical expertise in the evaluation of potential diagnostic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Represent the company as a medical expert in scientific conferences, advisory boards, and other relevant forums.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD) or equivalent, with specialization in neurology, psychiatry, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or diagnostics industry, specifically working with diagnostic solutions for Alzheimer's disease.
  • Strong understanding of the diagnostic landscape in Alzheimer's disease, including biomarkers and imaging techniques.
  • Experience in the design, execution, and interpretation of clinical studies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to diagnostic product development and commercialization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Publication record in relevant scientific journals is preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the specified location.
