Job Description

Senior Lead Transportation Planner/Engineer

AECOM is seeking a talented Senior Lead Transportation Planner/Engineer in Jacksonville, FL. This position will lead transportation planning initiatives for AECOM in North Florida. Join a successful and innovative transportation planning organization. AECOM has supported Florida transportation infrastructure planning for many years with the highest level of client service. If you are seeking a position in transportation planning and is interested in creative challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the transportation planning, conceptual engineering, and traffic engineering practice in the North Florida area
• Management of various surface transportation project development, planning, feasibility, corridor, and related studies
• Experienced with client relationship development including project pursuit development and execution
• Development and growth of staff resources in Jacksonville and collaborate with other offices throughout Florida

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban/Regional Planning, or in another related field
• Ten (10) plus years of experience in related transportation and traffic planning including 2 years managing transportation projects

Preferred:

• Knowledge of the transportation project development and planning or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), conceptual engineering, and public involvement/outreach techniques
• Northwest Florida FDOT, county and municipal transportation planning experience
• Client relationship and development 
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Public speaking experience
• Experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
