This position functions as a policy implementing manager, that organizes, executes, controls, and evaluates the operation of Agency’s Property Control Policy and oversees Annual Property Inventory. Essential Functions

  • Serves as the Property Manager for the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMA-OHS).
  • Organizes and develops policy, goals, and objectives and evaluates the outputs of ongoing property tracking.
  • Travels regularly to alternate IEMA-OHS facilities in performance of job duties.
  • Directs and supervises staff and establishes performance goals and objectives. 
  • Oversees property assignments in conjunction with personnel actions.
  • Completes special logistics-related projects assigned by Management Team.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Specialized Skills

  • Requires two (2) years of experience in property management, emergency management, or a similar field.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
  • Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years
