HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Privacy Analyst will be a detail-oriented, self-driven and forward-thinking individual who is well versed in implementing and maintaining privacy policies and procedures, monitoring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, and analyzing privacy risks.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop, update, and/or review privacy program documentation.
- Work with management to provide privacy program implementation support including recommendations for process improvements.
- Support the implementation of privacy policies and procedures across the organization and provide guidance to ensure business processes adhere to policies and procedures.
- Evaluate third party risk for alignment with company data privacy policies and procedures including any data exchange.
- Participate in discussions and projects to verify business practices align with company privacy program including regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report privacy risks appropriately and assist with the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist with the implementation of tools, processes, and technologies for ensuring proper data protection.
- Work with business partners to document processes and procedures, identify gaps, and assist with recommendations and strategies for adherence.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather, review and manage relevant audit evidence.
- Conduct ongoing privacy research to stay up to date with the latest issues and trends.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of evolving data privacy practices.
- Research, recommend, and assist with the implementation of tools, processes, and technologies for ensuring proper data protection.
- Contribute to the enhancement of company-wide training and awareness.
- Collaborate with business leaders to provide solutions to streamline privacy activities and business processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
- Ability to think critically and analyze a wide variety of complex problems.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information privacy or relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a privacy, data protection, and/or information security compliance role.
- Compliance or auditing experience preferred.
- Well versed in privacy policy and procedure management.
- Proficient in privacy risk management including conducting privacy risk assessments, assessing risk, and advising on remediation action.
- Excellent working knowledge of privacy and data protection laws, including the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA.
- In-depth knowledge of customer data protection best practices.
- Experience performing Privacy Impact Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
- Experience with third party/vendor risk management including data exchange best practices.
- Experience responding to data privacy customer inquiries including responding and adhering to Data Subject Access Requests.
- Experience with privacy incident response and incident management.
- Experience developing and documenting business processes and improving documentation.
- Experience supporting privacy training and privacy compliance activities.
- Detailed understanding of emerging privacy trends, tools, and legislative developments.
- Experience implementing privacy design into information systems and recommending appropriate technical design to adequately protect data.
