Accountant Analyst

Description

The Accountant/Analyst – Level 1 is responsible for supporting the accounting functions through meticulous data management, analysis, and reporting. This role is crucial in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the department's various accounting tasks.

• Financial Data Management: Assist in the entry and management of financial data in the company’s ERP system (Odoo). Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconciliation and Analysis: Conduct monthly account reconciliations to verify that all data is accurately reported. Assist with financial analysis to support departmental and executive decision-making.
• Reporting: Help prepare financial statements and other reports as required. This includes income statements, balance sheets, and other ad hoc reports to aid in financial oversight and decision-making.
• Budget Support: Provide support in the annual budgeting process. Gather and analyze historical financial data and assist senior accountants in developing budget projections.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to accounting process improvements, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Participate in projects that enhance the financial infrastructure of the department.
• Ad-hoc Support: Provide support for various accounting-related projects as needed, including preparation for audits, tax filings, and other compliance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial software such as Odoo ERP.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with various departments.

• This role generally operates in an office setting within the manufacturing facility.

• May occasionally require extended hours during financial closing periods or end-of-year activities.
