The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.

 Summary:  The Hospitality Attendant supports the Food and Beverage FOH & BOH areas and provides the opportunity for individuals to gain knowledge and experience of the Food and Beverage Casino industry by performing the duties of the following positions as assigned. These positions include the following, but not limited to; Food & Beverage, Sips, Mountain View Sports Bar and Amore departments; Busperson, Food Runner, Banquet Attendant, Barista, Dish Machine Operator, and Prep Cook. You may be assigned as a Host/Hostess Cashier if you meet the age requirement. This position is a Pooled tip position when working in a secondary job position.

Essential Job Functions may include any of the following:

  • Provides constant, attentive, and friendly service to customers at all times.
  • Greet guests, assign, and escorts them to tables and provides information regarding the food outlet including menus, liquor lists and specials.
  • Clear and wipe tables, chairs, counters, floor, walls, sink and all beverage service areas.
  • Carries dirty dishes to dishwashing area and ensures empty tubs are available.
  • Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on a conveyor dishwashing machine.
  • Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits,
  • May measure and mix ingredients according to recipe to prepare food.
  • May be required to complete transfers, orders, requisitions, waste sheets and monitor product levels for proper inventory.
  • Delivers food to tables/bar.
  • Busses tables and assists other staff as needed.
  • Prepares beverages and expedites food orders
  • May brew coffee, stock, and fill beverage containers, condiments, and ice bins.
  • May check for proper temperature and time control or all items on the food line and record data.
  • May serve as barista by scooping ice cream, making, and serving beverages, sundaes, splits, and other offerings.
  • Records sales on (POS) system, with multiple possible payment options. Including taking and processing to go orders, both phone in orders and walk-up orders.
  • Collects payment from customers.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by department and venue standards.

 Required Knowledge of:

  • Principles, practices and processes of food and beverage preparation and delivery.
  • Principals, practices and processes of safe food handling and safe work practices.
  • Symbols of danger, poison, and hazards.

 Required Skill in:

  • Providing excellent guest service.
  • Serving food & beverages.
  • Recognizing and correcting situations that are unhealthy or may lead to poor customer service.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively and accurately to internal and external customers, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate a computer-based POS system.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Low-security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
  • Oregon Food Handler's Permit required.
  • State of Oregon Fo
