What You’ll Do:

 

  • Work collaboratively with our client’s in a Genomic and Molecular based lab
  • Work closely with the assigned Lab Lead to complete project, discuss progress, and ask questions
  • Organize and process a large number of vital samples from around the world
  • Accurately document and create library documents for samples. Attentively document any discrepancies and/or observations of samples
  • Completion of daily tasks/tests and side work
  • Escalation of troubleshooting needs and/or issues to the client
  • Completion of lab work in the expected timeframe, as defined by the client
  • Recording data (Electronic lab notebook system) timely and accurately
  • Lab maintenance as necessary: daily lab upkeep, media ordering, making stock solutions, stocking of consumable materials, proper storage of research materials, and organization of lab reagents.

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • Familiarity working in BSL-2 lab and/or molecular lab.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic technique
  • Confident having open communication regarding progress of project and asking questions.
  • Highly organized and great time management skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and have a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team based lab environment
  • Familiarity learning basic computer software (may be instrument-related); familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office suite
