Director Pharmacy, Athens-Limestone, FT

Overview

Directs and coordinates all pharmacy activities, including the purchase, receipt, storage, compounding and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.  As necessary, assists in dispensing medication, and oversees the maintenance of inventory, records files and references.  Consults with and advises medical staff regarding drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Qualifications

Education/Licensure

Must have Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy with license to practice pharmacy in Alabama. MBA or equivalent master’s degree preferred

 

Experience

Must have minimum of five years hospital pharmacy experience and minimum of two years pharmacy management experience

 

Additional Skills/Abilities

Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
