General Description and Classification Standards:
The Office of Fleet Services Management Analyst Sr. (G22) will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, Team Lead, and Managerial Advisor in all aspects of fleet operations for the organization. Given the department’s engagement with large data sets, this role is crucial in deriving meaningful insights through performance metrics (KPIs) and the strategic interpretation of operational data. The Analyst must possess the ability to transform data into actionable information that supports critical decision-making and strategic planning within the organization. This position demands a blend of technical, statistical, and problem-solving skills, requiring collaboration with other professionals to drive key business initiatives. Additionally, the role will function as a project leader and team lead (supervisory) as necessary, supporting senior management and key departmental initiatives.
Supervision Received:
This position receives guidance on the overall mission, short and long-term objectives, scheduling, and unusual priorities. The Analyst is expected to structure their workday to accomplish established goals independently. The role can function as an individual contributor, team lead, project lead, or supervisor, depending on the organization’s needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Operate as an individual contributor or managerial leader (potential supervisory or team lead responsibilities) to prepare final analysis reports for stakeholders, providing key business insights that enable senior leadership to make important decisions based on various facts and trends.
- Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and management to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and develop data governance strategies.
- Analyze trends impacting the organization and engage as a resource or leader for key projects and initiatives.
- Prepare meaningful reports for senior management, identifying trends, patterns, and predictions through data analysis, which may require oversight of a team.
- Engage with critical databases and data systems, reorganizing data into a readable format, and perform analysis to assess data quality and meaning. Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct coding issues.
- Utilize statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets, aiding in diagnosis and prediction.
- Assign numerical value to essential business functions to assess and compare business performance over periods.
- Use automated tools to extract operational data from primary and secondary sources, removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems.
- Manage the vendor dashboard, overseeing team activities related to scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining fleet operations.
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and managerial direction to assigned workgroups or project teams as needed.
Decision Making:
Follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Applies organizational policies and recommends strategy or policy changes.
Leadership Provided:
This role can function as a key individual contributor, team lead, or supervisor of a workgroup. Additionally, this role may occasionally act as a group coordinator in the absence of the Manager or Director.
