Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Neurology Headache

The APP in Neuro-Headache will be responsible for evaluation and ongoing management of individuals with headaches disorders. The Neuro-Headache APP will work collaboratively with Headache sub-specialty consultants in the Department of Neurology. The practice will include, but is not limited to, comprehensive physical assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments, education, counseling, and follow-up management of established patients. The practice will also include occasional procedural time providing Botox injections. 

Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an FNP, ANP, or ACNP.  

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. The NP/PA must be eligible for DEA registration.

Strong written and oral communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team. BLS certification and DEA registration required.
