About the role

We are excited to be adding a Materials and Operations Clerk to the Beall Team. Our Warehouse Clerk Coordinates the distribution of materials for production of trailers.

Please note that shift hours are Mon – Fri 7:30am – 4:000pm with additional overtime. 

Wage Range: $19.75-$26.00

What you will do:  

    • Attends deliveries such as collecting the paperwork from the driver. Outside loads will be weighed in before going to unloading area and weighed out after unloading
    • When feasible, will observe material coming off the truck to check for any damage to material.
    • Check accuracy of truck bill for how many packages are being delivered.
    • Gather the PO from the paperwork and pull up the receiver for each PO.
    • Alert the purchasers on over ships and early PO’s.
    • Report all discrepancies such as quantities, incorrect material, or quality concerns.
    • Report to the warehouse supervisor any material that arrives that is needed in production ASAP.
    • Separate any material that may be mixed then check material for accuracy, quantity, and quality before entering in the system.
    • Once material is verified, and there are no discrepancies scan each type of material and enter quantity in the system.
    • Scan PO’s (purchase orders) and enter the quantity received into system record keeping.
    • Scan new inventory to the correct receiving staging areas, tagging all material with the proper inventory tags.
    • Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
    • Organize and restock needed parts and materials utilized in support of this position’s duties.
    • When feasible, assist other employees within the area of assignment
    • Perform and abide by safety policies and procedures while performing related assignments.
    • Keep the work area clean during and at the end of the shift.
    • Perform all related duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).

    Education and/or Experience

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • High School Diploma or GED required, one-year related certification from college or technical school preferred.
    • Related experience with data entry is required. Related experience with inventory data entry is preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret, and comprehend, detailed drawings, specifications, measurements, and safety policies and procedures.
    • Ability to perform basic math and interpret basic measurements.
    • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
    • Able to work shift(s) based on production need, including extended hours.
    • Able to work as an individual or as a member of a team.
    • Experience in tractor trailer building or knowledge is preferred.
    • Experience in manufacturing related fields is preferred.

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and work from heights related to inventory throughout the shift.
    • Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, and carry inventory related items throughout the shift.
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing or plant environment while maneuvering self throughout the work areas and/or products or equipment.
    • Ability to see details at close range while reviewing inventory information.
