CACI is seeking a strong AWS Cloud Architect who has worked with AWS Cloud environments optimized for security and each of the -ilities (e.g., scalability, availability, extensibility, portability, maintainability, usability) and drive continuous improvement.

What you will do:

• Develop AWS Cloud migration activities to include developing migration plans customized to each environment, leading execution of the plan, and transitioning responsibilities as necessary.
• Advocate effective architectural designs and optimize current architecture and processes to adhere to industry’s best practices such as but not limited to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Identify risks, opportunities, compliance issues or other architectural concerns.
• Assist management in creating the strategic framework, policy and roadmap for Cloud initiatives.
• Evaluates and reports on new cloud and virtualization technologies to enhance capabilities of cloud-based and virtualized services.
• Plans R&D programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives.
• Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and collaborate with colleagues to recommend improvements.
• Provide architectural documents and diagrams for all systems. Good Documentation skills.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience with automation in software systems deployment and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CI/CD).
• Experience with container management solutions such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with automation scripts, templates, using tools such as PowerShell, AWS CLI, or other automation frameworks.
• Experience with Design and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity, availability, and quick recovery in case of failures
• Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving issues related to Cloud infrastructure, services, and deployments.
