Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Transmission Line Engineer I to join our Energy-Electric sector. As a Transmission Line Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, or conducting quality control (QC) reviews on electrical transmission lines. This role involves working on projects that contribute to the development and enhancement of power infrastructure. The Transmission Line Engineer plays a pivotal role in maintaining industry standards, implementing innovative solutions, and contributing to the safety and reliability of energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, analyzes or QC transmission lines using state-of-the-art software, including PLS-CADD engineering software.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Applies engineering principles to optimize the performance and reliability of transmission lines.
  • Conducts QC assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Identifies issues and raises them for management review along with potential solutions.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
  • Attends meetings with clients, vendors and governing agencies as required.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of department and company goals.
  • Participates in special projects or tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required
  • 1-3 years of experience in Electric transmission lines engineering required
  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) preferred
  • Proficient in PLS-CADD engineering software required
  • Experience with design, analysis, or QC for transmission and/or distribution lines projects
  • Strong understanding of Electric utility industry standards
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders

Pay Range: $73,000 - $104,000 per year

 

Work Environment: Hybrid 1 day per month in the San Diego, CA office

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
