Job Description
The National RVP for our Exoscope/VM is responsible for marshaling the sales force behind the sales and marketing strategy defined by Olympus Corporation of the Americas to meet/exceed sales and profit targets across the business via continuous development, motivation, training and management of the specialty VM sales team across the US. He/She will provide management, leadership, guidance and oversight of our direct VM sales team as well as closely collaborate with our ENT sales team and management that provide a supporting role to the product line. A key role for the National RVP will be to develop and maintain business relationships with regional centers of excellence across the US market. The National RVP role will report into the East AVP for the ENT/VM business.
Job Duties
As a National RVP you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. In this role you will be leading and directly managing a specialty field team of 11 Territory Managers across the US market while collaborating with the ENT core sales team and management to drive growth of the Exoscope/VM. A typical day for you will include:
- Continuously improving the sales team through strong recruitment, hiring, training, development, motivation and management.
- Supporting the development and successful execution of annual territory business plans to meet and exceed region's numeric objectives.
- Managing and positively influencing each sales representative's daily activities, monthly sales forecasts, business plan updates, etc. Utilization of our CRM and sales playbook is a cornerstone in how we go to market.
- Managing regional expense budget to include participation in local/regional trade shows events, travel, telephone, repairs, promotion and sample expenditures.
- Ensuring all Company assets are carefully managed and maintained.
- Managing and cultivating strategic account and clinical relationships within region, as well as support and monitor key relationships involving sales representatives and other Company personnel.
- Building and maintaining a comprehensive needs assessment and business plan for each strategic account in order to deliver superior value to the customer, and accelerated, profitable growth for the Company.
- Developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of strategically important Orbeye Video Microscope to successfully execute essential duties and responsibilities.
- Communicating competitive activities and market opportunities to appropriate internal parties.
- Performing other related tasks such as representation at national and regional events, support of corporate initiatives, etc, as requested or assigned.
- Performing all other essential duties as directed.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful medical device sales and or sales management experience.
- Minimum 10 years sales experience in medical device industry
- Ability to travel 80%+ of the time. Located in a major airport city in the USA.
- Proven track record of success in Medical Large Budget Capital market
- Market development experience
- Neurosurgical, spine, radiology experience
