<p>Information about the department and the position:</p>
<ul>
<li>Member of the Tendering team in G&T Business Group</li>
<li>Working closely with the entire sales and tendering community in G&T</li>
<li>Reports to the Project Portfolio Tender Manager in G&T (who reports to the Head of Tendering)</li>
<li>Close collaboration with the tendering, project- and finance teams in G&T, including plant tender and the central Finance team in Norway.</li>

<p>Responsibilities and tasks</p>
<ul>
<li>Build up cost and P&L of tenders respecting internal rules and procedures </li>
<li>Analyze cost inputs received by all the departments involved in the tender, benchmark and challenge where necessary in a collaborative and constructive manner. </li>
<li>Actively support the Sr Tender Manager and Sales Manager during the tender – prior submission and during clarification and negotiation phases – by providing complete, accurate and optimized cost estimates. </li>
<li>Perform cost simulations to evaluate execution alternatives and impacts of clarifications and to support the decision for the tender to have the most competitive solution - on scope of work, contractual, financial & tax obligations. </li>
<li>Perform and optimize the cash flow analysis in order to obtain favorable payment conditions in the contract </li>
<li>Prepare key deliverables for our tenders related to price schedule, unit rates and has an active inputs to commercial qualifications, in particular mechanisms for price adjustments (provisional sum, cost +, adjustable costs,…)</li>
<li>Propose solutions to maximize profit and cash flow through in-depth understanding of contract requirements, adjustment mechanisms, etc..</li>
<li>Work closely with the Procurement and Finance team and manage cost risks related to inflation, raw material price volatility, currency risks etc. </li>
<li>Work actively with project controllers on lessons learned / commercial items to improve the accuracy of the tender costing, pricing and commercial qualifications. </li>

<p>What we are looking for</p>
<ul>
<li>Education: Minimum 3 years of technical or financial education </li>
<li>Good financial knowledge. Experience from project controlling, cost estimation for tendering or commercial analytics work will be appreciated.</li>
<li>Technical interest and general understanding to be able to challenge cost input and benchmark against experience to be in control of costing quality. </li>
<li>Need to be able to Analyze cost input provided by technical experts. Actively contribute to development of the most accurate and cost-effective execution plans for tenders.</li>
<li>Skilled to manage cost risks when offering complex turnkey projects; inflation, raw material price volatility, subcontracting risks, currency risks, interface risks and delay damages from schedule risk</li>
<li>Have good understanding of cost effects of bonds, insurance, tax and import duties,</li>
<li>Need to understand the cost implications from Scope of Work as set out by client</li>
<li>Skilled in English </li>
<li>Skilled in MS Excel, ERP and cost estimation tools</li>
<li>Good communication skills. Likes to work in a team.</li>
