Responsibilities
The Corporate Safety Programs and Training Manager is responsible for leading the successful planning, development, and execution of strategic corporate safety and training programs across MV Transportation.
Responsibilities:
- In partnership with Safety and Training Leaders, oversee the development of safety programs and communications that build safety brand awareness and promotes frontline engagement and
- Develop Safety and Training communications, including breakroom discussions, alerts, and lessons learned based on insights from leading and lagging indicators and event learnings.
- Ensure a cadence of functional communications with the Safety and Training organization to update on initiatives, performance, and other related topics.
- Working with Corporate Communications, ensure that all Safety and Training communications meet corporate brand standards and that reviews of external communications have been validated by Corporate Communications.
- Serve as the lead to maintain https://mvtransit.sharepoint.com/sites/mvsafety content by ensuring periodic review and refresh of content as required.
- Ensure safety and training programs meet quality and compliance standards established by federal, state, and local laws, client regulations or requirements, best practices, and internal and external customers.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices in training and operating standards to ensure efficient and effective training programs are being administered.
- Incorporate technological advancements (e.g., simulators, e-learning) into training to enhance effectiveness.
- In collaboration with the Director of Operations Training, ensure consistent development of training and train the trainer programs for Drivers and Safety and training staff on Safety Programs and processes.
- Support the development and execution of a set of KPIs related to training that provides insight into the overall execution of safety training initiatives across MV Transportation.
- Leads the development and management of corporate safety programs as required by regulations, clients or executive leadership.
- Administers and coordinates responses for safety requirements and programs in relation to requests for support from Business Development.

- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Five (5) + years’ experience developing and delivering safety and/or operations programs and training in transit or related industries.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Demonstrated experience in enhancing safety culture, leading and lagging safety performance indicators.
- Ability to travel as required.
