We currently have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented Strategic Account Manager on our Data Center and Industrial team, focusing on business development and HVAC sales. You will be responsible for growing commercial equipment, controls and service sales in the Data Center and Industrial market in North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement account management strategies.

  • Communicate with and influence internal and external customers and sales leaders regarding sales proposals and strategies.

  • Improve account management policies and processes by implementing innovative solutions.

  • Conduct Market analysis and identify key customer targets.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets.

  • Oversee sales activities and resources within sales channels.

  • Collaborate with local Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams on sales strategies that improve Carrier’s competitive position.

  • Track project activity.

  • Providing technical and product training to key customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC system design or applications.

  • Ability to travel (25% or more).

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing.

  • Professional Engineers License.

  • Data center design experience and central utility plant design experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with both external customers and across functional teams of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates.

  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication and sense of ownership.

  • Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize.

  • Unwavering customer service orientation.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
