Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2023

Roadie, a UPS Company, is a crowdsourced delivery platform. Founded in 2014, Roadie works with consumers, small businesses and enterprises across virtually every industry to enable scheduled, same day and urgent delivery in passenger vehicles across the U.S.  With more than 200,000 drivers nationwide, Roadie reaches more than 20,000 zip codes – the largest local same-day delivery network in the nation. 

Roadie is looking for a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2023 who can assist us designing and developing innovative software solutions. The ideal candidate is eager to be in a fast-paced environment where they can broaden their technical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, and set the foundation for a career in software development.

What You’ll Do

• Be part of a team of experienced Software Engineers that are designing, implementing and testing software in an agile environment
• Help solve difficult technical problems and focus on developing great code for multiple new products
• Work with Engineers, QA and Product Owners to develop and deploy software. 
• Write maintainable, testable software in languages like Go, Ruby, and Python 
• Identify and resolve issues, and improve software quality and reliability

What You Bring

• Currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering 
• Experience developing and debugging software (ideally in Python, GoLang or Ruby on Rails!)
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience
