Description
The role: BigHat Biosciences is seeking a self-motivated individual for a Research Associate II / Senior Research Associate to develop label-free assays for characterizing antigen-antibody interactions. You will interface regularly with the Protein Sciences, Discovery, and Translational Research Groups to support all aspects of biophysical characterization of antigen-antibody binding in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment.Responsibilities include:
- Develop and perform kinetic experiments to study antigen-antibody interactions
- Perform epitope binning and quantitation experiments
- Develop and onboard kinetic assays for screening antibodies in a high-throughput manner
- Run multi-analyte ELISA/MSD experiments to identify polyreactive antibodies from discovery campaigns
- Write and transfer SOPs for used by the production team
- Keep a detailed record of all experiments using BigHat’s documentation tools, and clearly communicate results and challenges.
- Present experimental plans and results during regular meetings with manager and science teams.
About you:
- B.S. with 2+/4+ or M.S. with 1+/3+ years of work experience.
- Experience using label-free biophysical techniques to study antigen-antibody interactions
- Extensive experience in developing and executing BLI experiments for kinetics, quantitation, and epitope binning.
- Experience developing SPR assays to study antigen-antibody interactions is preferred.
- Good record keeping skills using LIMS and electronic notebooks
- Excited to work with diverse, cross functional teams to onboard new assays and disseminate results
- Prior experience with MSD or Gyroslab for multiplexed analyte detection and automation are preferred.
- Prior experience with multi-color flow cytometry is preferred.
