Job Title: Temporary, Part-Time Research Assistant
This is a Temporary position limited to no more than 12-months. This position is part-time and limited to no more than an average of 30 hours a week in a twelve-month period.
Job Summary:
This position is a temporary part-time research experience for a post-baccalaureate candidate with prior wet-lab research experience who is interested in deepening their research skillsets in preparation for enrolling in a research-focused doctoral or medical program.
Key Responsibilities:
· Literature reviews related to research projects
· Experimental design and execution (with support from PI and senior lab members)
· Data collection and analysis
· Maintaining a detailed lab notebook, experimental notes, and collated data.
· Preparation and presentation of data at lab meetings and department-wide venues.
· Bench research may include, but is not limited to, transcriptome analyses, histologic stains and analysis, in vivo disease modeling, tissue dissection, and flow cytometric cell analyses.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
· BS in biology or related discipline
· Prior wet-lab research experience including proficiency in basic techniques such as RNA extraction, tissue dissection, flow cytometry staining and analysis, and at least basic microscopy.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Peer-reviewed publications, including at least one first authorship.
· Evidence of strong presentation skills (e.g. poster or oral presentation at a recognized extramural conference).
· Self-motivated and a critical thinker
· Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication skills
