Job Details:

Purpose

The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk (MCPER) at The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to provide administrative support to multiple projects, including Texas Intervention Academies and Tiered Interventions Using Evidence-Based Research (TIER). This candidate may also support additional projects, as determined by the direct supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor budgets for research projects, work with PIs on contracts and amendments, and annual and progress reports.

  • Create and post new positions. Process new hires, initiate background checks. Ensure new employees complete onboarding tasks in Workday. Serve as I-9 partner.

  • Manages HR inbox and serves as a resource to center staff regarding university policies. Serves as liaison between MCPER, COE HR and Finance teams, and SWS.

  • Process HR transactions such as reallocations, transfers, reclassifications, additional duties pay, and other changes to employment for center staff. Update accounting spreadsheets and maintain digital files on Box according to these changes.

  • Work with research staff to prepare proposals for submission to prospective sponsoring agencies and organizations in accordance with university and sponsoring agency guidelines and deadlines.

  • Process GRA appointments and tuition payments. Coordinate GRA evaluations.

  • Update and maintain administrative spreadsheets, Box, and paper files.

  • Additional duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience coordinating projects with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with DEFINE and working with UT contracts and grants.

  • Experience with Workday and onboarding and offboarding of full-time, part-time, and hourly staff.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $78,000
