Job Description

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a client facing environment.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Support molecule lifecycle management, perform general project management and compliance tasks
• Writing protocols, reports, and technical documents
• Coordinating and leading meetings with cross functional teams, as well as with other sites (e.g. partners and contract labs), tracking project timelines, and owning compliance records
• May participate in the method performance monitoring program using statistical software for analysis, require report writing, and presentation generation
• May help with materials management such as sample inventory, shipping material, and sample creation for projects in the team
• Documents sample transactions in Laboratory Information Management System
• Compliance with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements
• Ensures compliance with SOPs; reports any quality or other anomalies
• Participates in required training activities

Qualifications

• Requires a BS/BA in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Engineering or related field with 0-2 years of relevant scientific industry experience.
• Relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
• Preferred knowledge in, but not required, Biochemistry/chemistry methods, such as ELISA, PCR, capillary electrophoresis, HPLC, particulate analysis and compendial tests
• Thrive working in a fast-paced environment and can multitask
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Biochemistry/chemistry background
• Statistical software skills
• Project management skills
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Can perform tasks within appropriate timeframes while maintaining accuracy

Additional Information

Position is full-time, 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
