General Summary
The Jr Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the Graphic Design team within Creative Marketing to create content across all LAIKA Marketing objectives, including studio-based communications, DEI/ERG programming, social media, consumer products, e-commerce, events, publicity and new business initiatives.
Job Functions
- Support the Graphic Design team to ensure all content created is in the LAIKA aesthetic, and correctly follow film and studio branded style guides across all LAIKA Marketing initiatives.
- Assist with the creation of internal studio-based collateral used to graphically support marketing and studio communications through internal event fliers, newsletters and presentations.
- Work with Social Media team to support the development of creative assets for use across all external media platforms.
- Work with Consumer Products team to support the development of custom graphics and digital art for both LAIKA e-commerce shop, as well as third-party vendors.
- Assist Creative Marketing team with color grading, clean up and image formatting.
- Provide graphic support for Marketing Photo/Video team content.
- Maintain and update the marketing database with digital files (e.g., photography, illustrations, logo art, typestyles, various format video files, etc.).
- Attend regular reviews and briefs to communicate progress with Creative Marketing team.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in graphic design and demonstrated knowledge of branding and design using existing company/brand styles; portfolio required.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with primary focus on Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; After Effects knowledge, a plus.
- Knowledge of design fundamentals; typography, composition and strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of media formats to support both digital and print deliveries.
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and be open to direction.
