The position aims to strengthen the group’s research and teaching activities and to maintain and further develop the Norwegian academic environment within process-system technology.</p><p>Apply for this position to become part of our research environment and take the next step in your career with us.</p><p>Your immediate leader will be the Head of Department. </p><br>Duties of the position<ul><li>Conduct research in optimization, with a focus on one or more of the following areas:<ul><li>Process Systems Engineering</li><li>Non-smooth systems</li><li>Artificial intelligence for process systems Engineering</li><li>Biosystems</li></ul></li><li>Teaching and supervision of students at Bachelor’s or Master’s in Norwegian and/or English language, as required by the department</li><li>Participate and contribute to the development of the research group and its strong global position within process-system technology</li><li>Write academic publications</li><li>Apply for research funding and write applications and report on progress to funding sources</li><li>Participate in international activities such as conferences and/or research stays at foreign educational institutions</li></ul><br>Required selection criteria<ul><li>Strong motivation to teach in process systems engineering courses as well as general chemical engineering courses</li><li>Documented experience with teaching or teaching assistance in large courses</li><li>A strong academic background in process systems engineering and mathematics</li><li>You must have completed a doctoral degree in process-system technology, chemical process engineering, applied mathematics, or a corresponding field</li><li>If you are in the final phase of your doctorate and can document that the thesis has been submitted or that the defense date has been confirmed, your application can be considered even if you have not defended. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.</p><p>The period of employment is 3 years.
