Business Unit Overview
Our Portfolio Strategy and Integration team is dedicated to developing and executing CMC strategies for small molecule and biologics portfolio utilizing the brightest minds and ideas across the enterprise to drive strategic choices for Global Product Development and Supply. From candidate selection to commercial launch and life cycle management, we provide valuable project information and portfolio insights, and we lead CMC due diligence for business development opportunities. Position Summary
The Data Analytics Manager will collaborate with PSI members and stakeholders to create innovative methods for PD (Product Development) utilizing data from CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, & Controls) Teams. This role will leverage strong data analytics skills to effectively work with large datasets and leverage data for decision-making purposes. This position will regularly utilize data analytics software and collaborate with colleagues across diverse disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage data for the Portfolio Strategy and Integration (PS&I) department
- Build and refine data visualizations from data sources including Excel, SharePoint, and Planisware enterprise system
- Validate data in visualizations, analyze data sets, and develop innovative ways for the organization to obtain data
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs of the organization
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 1+ years of relevant experience in business operations, data analytics, statistics, structuring analytical tools, or data visualization; experience in pharmaceutical or related industry a plus
- Data management experience; comfortable working with large data sets with a variety of information
- Experience with data science and analytics, modeling platforms, and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.)
- Proven experience troubleshooting
- Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated effective group collaboration and experience working with matrix teams
- Ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible with moving priorities
- Familiarity with lean principles a plus
- Familiarity with CMC drug development beneficial
- Proficient in SharePoint, Tableau, Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft Suite
