What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and schedule daily activities of electrical maintenance crews.
- Lead the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including high/low voltage equipment, MCCs, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and mill automation.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with mechanical, engineering, and operations teams for equipment upgrades and installations.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and material tracking.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Train and mentor electricians and apprentices in industrial best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors/contractors when needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering + 3 years of relevant experience OR 10+ years of electrical leadership experience in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of heavy industrial electrical systems and maintenance best practices
- Familiarity with Work Execution Management (WEM), preferably in SAP
- Proven experience supervising/facilitating electrical personnel in complex maintenance projects
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and use engineering tools/software
- Solid communication, people management, and organizational skills
- Experience managing costs and working within budget constraints
Bonus if You Have:
- Previous success leading standardization or quality-driven initiatives
- Exposure to training programs and guiding technical staff
- Knowledge of production and maintenance coordination in a rolling mill or similar environment
