Senior Accountant / CPA

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-end accounting tasks, including month-end close processes and audit support
  
• Develop and maintain complex financial reports for managerial decision-making
  
• Conduct intricate inventory costing calculations for cannabis industry clients
  
• Reconcile sales data from point-of-sale systems with accounting records
  
• Ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation in QuickBooks for fintech clients
  
• Assist in creating and monitoring financial KPIs and performance metrics
  
• Support CFO-level financial analysis and strategic planning
  

Requirements:

• CPA certification required
  
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in fintech or cannabis industries
  
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
  
• Strong understanding of inventory management and costing principles
  
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle complex calculations
  
• Experience with sales data analysis and reconciliation
  
• Familiarity with managerial accounting concepts and practices
  
• SQL experience is a plus
  

Scope:

• Collaborate directly with client leadership teams
  
• Manage financial processes for multiple client accounts simultaneously
  
• Adapt to varying industry regulations, particularly in fintech and cannabis sectors
  
• Work independently while maintaining clear communication with clients
  
• Continuously update skills to meet evolving industry standards and technologies
  
• Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day
  
• 2-4 hours within 6am to 8pm Eastern to review some work with the client, the rest is flexible
