Job Description

We’re seeking an Analyst of Consumer Insights & Marketplace Intelligence to join the Revenue & Strategic Analytics team supporting the enterprise and growth vertical. The enterprise and growth vertical of Versant is focused on long-term corporate planning, Versant enterprise synergies, changes in how consumer spend time and money, emerging behaviors and new markets, growing ad sales and strategic partnerships, and distribution strategy and optimization. This group helps Versant envision strategic directions for the portfolio, and how to invest and grow. 

The Analyst will support projects that inform key business priorities by executing research, analyzing data, and helping translate findings into clear, actionable insights. You will work closely with the Sr Manager of Consumer Insights & Marketplace Intelligence and senior team members, gaining exposure to a variety of research approaches and business challenges while building foundational skills in consumer insights. 

The ideal candidate is a curious, detail-oriented early-career researcher who enjoys working with data, is eager to learn, and is motivated to grow their skills in research, analytics, and insights storytelling. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop insights that inform business priorities for Versant departments including ad sales, distribution, and portfolio strategy 
  • Support the execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects, including survey design and programming, managing fieldwork, building and analyzing crosstabs, interpreting results, and contributing to reports and presentations that summarize key insights 
  • Help synthesize insights from multiple sources (e.g., primary research, syndicated data, internal data) to build a holistic view of audience behavior and market trends  
  • Assist in developing presentations and materials that translate findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders  
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., ad sales, corporate strategy, distribution) to understand business needs and support research initiatives  
  • Monitor audience trends, consumer behaviors, and market dynamics  
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail  

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in market research, analytics, or related fields (internships included) 
  • Basic understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in connecting data to insights 
  • Interest in media, entertainment, sports, or evolving consumer behavior 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Exceptional organizational skills 
  • Collaborative, team mindset and willingness to learn 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Market Research, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, etc.) 

Preferred: 

  • Familiarity with syndicated tools (e.g., comScore, MRI Simmons) 
  • Experience with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Decipher) 
  • Experience using advanced analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, Looker a plus 
  • Advanced statistical training (e.g., regression, clustering, perceptual mapping, driver analysis) a plus
