Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Dean, the Assistant Director of Data Quality and Analytics will be responsible for managing and analyzing data to support the fundraising and alumni engagement efforts of the School of Arts and Sciences. This role will focus on improving data alignment, management, planning, and analytics related to departmental strategies. The incumbent will regularly identify and communicate data-driven insights to leadership across the department and provide expertise in dashboard creation, statistical analysis, and data management best practices.

The Advancement office strives to enhance the quality, reputation and financial strength of the School by securing critical resources to support existing and new initiatives and by building a full appreciation of SAS faculty, students, and initiatives through a broad range of media and programs.

Duties/Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Penn Arts & Sciences Advancement team to develop effective data analysis tools and forecasting models, dashboards, and reports.

  • Create and implement data entry strategies and processes to capture necessary data elements for effective decision-making across all aspects of fundraising (annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations and planned giving), prospect research, stewardship, engagement, operations, and communication teams.
