Job Details:

The Clerical Support II collaborates with the Assistant Nurse Manager and /or Relief Charge Nurse to coordinate unit activities. Uses independent thought processes to organize unit activities and to initiate physician orders. Communicates daily with internal and external customers. On most occasions, provides the initial contact for families and visitors . Recognizes that each patient/family unit is an individual with unique needs; provides considerate, respectful care to the family/patient unit. Supports the belief that all infants are entitled to a developmentally supportive plan of care and environment. Works with Dayton Children's to “improve the health care outcomes” in conjunction with the hospital mission. Adheres to hospital policy. This position is a staff level position, which collaborates interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience

• Experience in a medical office setting or patient access/scheduling preferred
