The Care Communications Digital Health Solutions is a product portfolio comprised of communications applications and solutions including mobile clinical communication solutions, medical device integration, alarm and alert management, waveform visualization and solutions for natural language processing. Together these solutions are focused on a vision of unifying the software platform to drive workflow efficiency, improve patient outcomes and strengthen patient engagement. Our portfolio is regularly expanding to include innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction team, and partnering with internal stakeholders across multiple business units to strategically grow and create scalability within the Program Portfolio to include but not limited to PSS-GSS, Nurse Call, Voalte and Excel products.
This is a fully remote role with travel (50%) to customer locations for facility reviews, installation reviews, and evaluation of project sites.
What you will be Doing
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and Service teams to proactively manage 3rd party installation margin profiles for the business.
- Partner with Global Sourcing to strategically manage the Installation category supply base design.
- Mature the Strategic installer program, managing new and existing 3rd party installer relationships.
- Lead the cross-functional Governance Board, ensuring all project aspects are aligned with quality and regulatory processes and requirements.
- Direct and lead all aspects of the downstream low-voltage installation request for proposal (RFP) and bid process and prepare detailed scope of work documents for subcontractor and client contracts, including bidder development, prequalification, evaluation, award recommendation, and selection.
- Implement, audit, and supervise program documentation.
- Implement process for confirming project-level subcontractor insurance, taxes/duties, licensures, and bonding requirements.
- Provide performance feedback to 3rd party installers, identifying the areas for growth and support of Services Implementation team.
- Partner with Data Analysts to provide clear, actionable information that drives business decisions and solutions.
- Lead Executive Business Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Create, document, and implement ‘make vs. buy’ installer selection process, to proactively choose the best business decisions for Baxter and our Customers.
- Conduct customer site visits and site walks to ensure that our projects remain in adherence with regulatory requirements.
What you will Bring:
- Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.
- 5 years relevant project management, construction management, and/or experience in the healthcare industry.
- Deep understanding of infection control risk assessments, permitting, procedures, production, and schedule impact.
- Advanced understanding of contract language and how it affects project risk.
- Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
- A basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required.
- A clear understanding of construction industry practices on a national scale.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including the ability to solicit subcontract partners and suppliers.
- Ability to triage and prioritize multiple concurrent installation projects.
- Understanding of big picture strategy, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload accordingly through prioritization, possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of IT network, servers, and infrastructure a plus.
