Senior Supply Chain Design Analyst
Land O'Lakes, Inc.About the role
Senior Supply Chain Design Analyst will be responsible for analyzing supply chain networks, identifying optimization opportunities, and developing data-driven strategies to improve efficiency and/or customer service, reduce costs and/or environmental impact, and enhance overall performance. The primary objective will be to optimize network through warehouse and/or plant location optimization, transportation routes, optimize inventory levels, and other supply chain elements to meet customer demands and drive competitive advantage. The successful candidate will possess strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of supply chain operations.
Supply Chain Design Optimization:
Utilize mathematical modeling techniques, such as linear programming, simulation, and statistical analysis, to develop optimization models for supply chain network design and configuration.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of supply chain networks to identify areas for improvement, such as transportation costs, inventory levels, and lead times. Analyze transportation routes and modes to optimize logistics operations, considering factors such as distance, cost, lead time, and service levels.
Develop inventory optimization strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize stock-outs, and improve order fulfillment rates while reducing carrying costs.
Develop and analyze various "what-if" scenarios to evaluate the impact of different supply chain strategies, including changes in demand patterns, supplier locations, or distribution strategies.
Conduct cost and environmental impact analyses to identify improvement opportunities, such as transportation cost reduction, emission reduction inventory optimization, consolidation of distribution centers.
Data Collection and Management:
Gather, organize, and validate supply chain data from various sources, leveraging Snowflake to ensure data accuracy and integrity for analysis purposes.
Create Repeatable Processes that allow maximum usage of SC Optimization Tool IE SC Guru
Continuous Improvement/Strategy Innovation:
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to monitor and measure supply chain network performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in supply chain network optimization, recommending and implementing process improvements accordingly.
Assist/lead in the process of creating Detailed roadmaps that detail the convergence of SC Planning tools, and our Team Strategies unlock our Design potential
