ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Entry-Level Supplier Quality Inspector to join our production team. This role supports the production line and fleet by ensuring quality standards are met during electronics and trailer assembly and conducting thorough evaluations of parts and processes when they are tagged or returned as non-conforming. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product integrity and improving production efficiency.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform QA checks on the production line during electronics and trailer assembly, including camera testing and live unit buildout.
  • Test and troubleshoot components returned from the fleet
  • Use technology  and various software to create/edit quality checklists and maintain accurate records.
  • Inspect, measure, and sort parts to ensure compliance with specifications and manage non-conforming components.
  • Enter data related to non-conforming parts into the appropriate tracking system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and report non-conforming products or processes to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Assist in the return of components and the details about their non-compliance to vendors and suppliers through RMA processes
  • Develop and refine quality control measures based on failure data and production needs.
  • Conduct time studies to evaluate and improve process efficiency.
  • Verify that production standards and procedures are followed.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to establish formal quality checks for production processes.
  • Support routine audits of the production line and manufacturing processes.
  • Additional projects as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Basic understanding of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeter, etc.) and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic proficiency in technology, including the use of tablets and QA software.
  • Experience working with electronics and troubleshooting practices; including working with supplier user interfaces and support sites
  • Exposure to quality assurance practices in a manufacturing or electronics assembly setting is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) or Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Forms, etc.).
