Job Description

Position Summary

Ready to be the superhero of resident care? As our Registered Nurse I, you'll be the mastermind behind planning, organizing, directing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of resident care. Your mission: to meet the total needs of residents and maintain care in accordance with State and Federal Law and Community policies and procedures. It's like being the director of your own healthcare blockbuster!

Essential Duties (aka Your Daily Adventures)

 

  • Be the ultimate communicator! Chat it up with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and family members about resident status. It's like hosting your own healthcare talk show!
  • Put on your detective hat! Listen to resident, family, or physician concerns, then spring into action with corrective measures or report to the appropriate personnel. You're basically a super hero in scrubs!
  • Become a conference superstar! Attend Resident Care conferences and keep those Care Plans in tip-top shape. It's like being the editor of a best-selling healthcare novel!
  • Channel your inner chemist! Prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders. Keep the medicine cabinet stocked and fresh – out with the old, in with the new!
  • Be the documentation dynamo! Record patient care issues with flair and report them as needed. Your notes will be so good, they'll want to frame them!
  • Unleash your healthcare Spidey senses! Recognize signs and symptoms, then use your superpowers of initiative and judgment to select the perfect treatment or procedure.
  • Embrace your inner coach! Supervise and direct ancillary personnel like a pro. When needed, initiate corrective action with the finesse of a world-class diplomat.
  • Be ready for anything! Other duties may pop up like surprise guests at a party. Embrace the unexpected!

 

Qualifications

Superhero Qualifications & Secret Powers

 

  • Your superpower? A Colorado Registered Nursing License, shining bright and in good standing. It's your healthcare badge of honor!
  • Bonus points if you've got advanced training in geriatrics. It's like having a Ph.D. in awesomeness!
  • 1-year experience in a long-term care facility preferred. Think of it as your origin story in the healthcare universe.
  • 1-year experience in a supervisory capacity preferred. You're basically the {NAME} of nursing!
  • Microsoft Office ninja skills required. Excel, Word, and Outlook? You can wield them like Thor's hammer!
  • English language skills so good, {NAME} would be jealous. Reading, writing, and speaking it like a pro is a must!
  • Customer service skills that would make even Disney World envious. Your smile can light up a room!

 

Superhero Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

 

  • Channel your inner Hulk! Be ready to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently. Who needs a gym membership?
