The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Communication Systems and Signal Processing Graduate Intern for the Communication Systems Engineering Department (CSED) within the Mission Payloads Division (MPD). This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

The Communication Systems Engineering Department (CSED) helps our customers solve the hardest problems in Satellite Communications, Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), and Electronic Warfare. As an intern within CSED, you will be modeling and simulating wireless communication system architectures and supporting laboratory activities to enable impactful research and prototyping of communication system designs for our customers. Your technical expertise will help support various US Government military and national program needs as well as shape their futures!

Work Model:
This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, California.
What You’ll Be Doing
Apply academic knowledge to practical tasks in digital communication systems engineering under supervision and guidance.
Model and simulate satellite communication systems.
Use laboratory hardware to take quantifiable measurements.
Conduct analyses and present technical findings to team members and customers.
Work closely with an interdisciplinary team.
Training and mentorship will be provided.

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements
Currently enrolled full time in a Master's or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline from an accredited college/university
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full- time after completion of the internship.
Coursework, academic projects and/or prior internships related to communication systems and signal processing.
Demonstrated mastery of engineering, mathematical, and scientific fundamentals consistent with your education to date.
Experience programming in Python, MATLAB, C++, or another language.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
