Database Analyst / Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Database Analuyst. In support of our Military Health client at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland, Peraton is hiring for an Application Database Engineer/Developer  position. These business opportunities are in support of the Joint Medical Logistics Functional Development Center (JMLFDC).

 

• Acquire data from data sources, write SQL scripts for data migration extract/transform/load steps.
• Write Python/java  scripts to automate repeatable tasks such as data migration and/or validation.
• Perform data profiling of source and target data using SQL, MSQL (Mongo DB Query Language) PL/SQL, interpret data and analyze results.
• Document results of the data analysis and profiling
• Identify data anomalies, locate “bad data” and address data issues by developing appropriate “fixes”.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Ability to perform complex data mapping.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, 9 years of experence in lieu of degree. 
• Must be a US citizen
• Able to obtain, a U.S. Government Public Trust Suitability clearance level Tier 3, NACLC background investigation.
• Experience performing data analysis to migrate data from a legacy system to a target system.
• SQL – Expert/Advanced level
• Python, Java Script,  Shell scripting is a big plus.
• Ability to work in Linux environment.
• MongoDB Query Language (MQL) 
• PostgreSQL,  Oracle PL/SQL 
• PostGreSql functions/procedures
• Experience with data pipelines

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
