ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Investment Banking Analyst I performs a wide range of complex financial analysis, financial modeling, and transaction due diligence in support of the underwriting, execution, and idea generation for the business. Applies these skills to provide a high-quality work product to support calling efforts of deal teams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.
- Successfully complete training program and receive the SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 licenses within policy guidelines.
- Develop the concepts of accounting, corporate finance, credit and capital markets needed to support transactions.
- Build relevant financial models to analyze performance and credit trends.
- Perform initial transaction due diligence including credit research, comparable debt, and ratings analysis.
- Perform accounting, business and legal due diligence activities for new and existing clients.
- Exhibit strong financial analysis skills, specifically credit based and corporate finance expertise.
- Find, research and assess financial information.
- Prepare pitch materials and market updates for client meetings.
- Synthesize large amounts of information to help senior members of the deal team develop innovative client solutions.
- Prepare and distribute market commentary/economic updates and pricing information to external clients and internal departments
- Develop proficiency in third party platforms used by the business.
- Assist with database maintenance.
- Manage multiple, competing priorities while working on multiple high priority opportunities simultaneously with oversight from associates and other senior bankers.
- Communicate effectively with deal team members on status and prioritization of projects.
- Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated academic or professional exposure to financial analysis and corporate finance concepts.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualified candidates will bring emerging professional proficiency, generally acquired through 0–2 years of relevant work or internship experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial modeling and presentation development.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
- Ability to obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses within the timeframe outlined by company policy.

- Client Communication: Ability to prepare compelling pitch materials and market updates tailored to client needs and business objectives.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with third-party financial platforms and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) used in investment banking or corporate finance environments.
