Reporting to the Senior Manager for Enterprise Sourcing Supply Chain Contracts, this role is a strategic partner within the Supply Chain organization.  This position coordinates with business partners for supply chain contract matters, manages a portfolio of supplier contracts, communicates with supply chain leadership, to develop, implement, and execute on strategic contract initiatives to achieve business objectives.  

What You Will Do:

• Drafts, generates, negotiates, interprets, and manages complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.
• Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines.
• Manages medium-sized projects.
• Reviews contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as assessing the risk and impact. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policies, government and commercial specifications and other requirements.
• Uses legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed through development of unique contract terms and conditions.
• Briefs Management and other functional areas on contract status, risk mitigation and contingency plans based on developed recommendations.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline work flow and improve quality of work product. Brings forward recommendations to increase efficiencies through use of tool or process enhancements.
• Track and report key functional metrics to improve effectiveness.
• Represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.
• Provides legal advice on contractual matters and contract administration.
• Maintains historical legal records.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Previous or current contracts experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate
