Position Specific Description
FPL is seeking a qualified and experienced Streetlight Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. As a Streetlight SME, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our streetlight infrastructure across various locations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage assets critical to the operation of the lighting system. Our team is responsible for the successful identification, purchase, implementation, training, maintenance, and end-of-life decisions for a significant portion of the equipment utilized on the street light system.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical expert on streetlight systems and associated technologies.
Develop and implement streetlight strategies and plans to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct assessments and audits of existing streetlight infrastructure to identify potential areas for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to analyze and resolve technical issues related to streetlight systems.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in streetlighting.
Provide technical guidance and support for streetlight-related projects to ensure successful implementation and operation.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement activities for streetlight fixtures and components.
Monitor streetlight performance, energy consumption, and associated metrics to optimize efficiency and reduce environmental impacts.
Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders

Required Qualifications
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
• Bachelor's - Engineering
• Experience:7+ years
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
• Master's Degree
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
• Six Sigma Master Black Belt
