About the role

Your Challenge:

Position Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to design, build and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production, stage, and development environments throughout the development lifecycle. This position will monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging, and deployment processes. This position also focuses on implementing automated solutions for backups, security, and monitoring while leveraging a DevOps approach to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality standards throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and optimize infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integrations across multiple platforms. You will oversee Kubernetes clusters, AWS infrastructure, and the integration of Drupal and Sanity.io platforms while continuously improving automation processes through CI/CD pipelines.

  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS, automating the deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications. Develop Helm charts and ensure efficient infrastructure management utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC. You will also be responsible for provisioning infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation and troubleshooting EKS-related issues.
  • Provide robust and scalable hosting environments for Drupal-based web applications, automating deployment, updates, and configurations through CI/CD pipelines. Work closely with development teams to integrate and optimize Drupal and Sanity.io in production environments, ensuring high performance, security, and seamless integrations.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating code integration, testing, and deployment for both Drupal and Sanity.io projects. Manage repositories, workflows, and permissions in GitHub, supporting the efficient delivery of infrastructure and application updates.
  • Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to ensure system availability and performance. Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices, conduct regular security audits, patch vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance deployment and operations, offering expertise in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and content management systems. Provide on-call support as needed, ensuring seamless system operations across environments.

What you will need to be successful:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Kubernetes in production environments, including EKS.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong experience with AWS EKS setup, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline management using GitHub Actions (or similar tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI).
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Expertise in automating and managing Drupal environments, with a focus on deployment, scaling, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Sanity.io, including deployment and integration into production systems.
  • Familiarity with Docker, containerization best practices, and modern cloud-native architectures.
  • Solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Proficient with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or the ELK stack.
  • Strong experience with GitHub, including managing repositories, workflows, and GitOps practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in multi-platform, multi-network environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, agile environments, balancing technical excellence with business requirements.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to drive initiatives and solve problems independently.
  • Strong initiative, creativity, and attention to detail in all aspects of infrastructure management.
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and continuously improve your skills.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude, a sense of ownership, and a dedication to quality.<
