Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Inside Sales Representative to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Team in New London, CT or Albia, Iowa. The primary purpose of this position is to sell all distributed, non distributed, custom and special purchase products through inbound calls. This role will provide customer care and pre-sales technical support for connectivity products, while using rapport-building skills to uncover additional sales opportunities. Responsible for an assigned territory or portfolio of customers to target for remote sales development calls.
What Will You Do?
- Coordinates with field sales team members to understand customers' unique needs and potential sales opportunities.
- Reaches out to customers to promote new and existing products and services, offer special discounts and promotions, or provide essential account management services.
- Selects appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling, and achieve sales targets.
- Develops connections with customers and may conduct field visits.
- Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers primarily by phone to increase the sales of our products and/or services.
- May participate in sales efforts as part of a larger team.
- Maintains accurtae and timely reporting of information.
- Utilizes established Company processess and reports to accurately enter orders placed by Distribution customers in a timely manner.
- Communicates effectively with the field sales representatives, Project Managers, and rep firms to enable them to successfully follow up on quotes, opportunities, and issue resolution in the field.
- Utilizes established Company processes to qualify, probe, up-sell and cross-sell the full range of connectivity products to customers.
- Completes other assignments or projects as assigned by management.
- Achieves or exceeds sales quotas and goals.
- Performs Quarterly Business Reviews around territories and sales goals.
- Utilizes CPQ for all quotes.
- Consults with Supervisor for resolution agreement concerning out-of-the-ordinary customer issues or customer spiff program design.
- Achieves daily outbound call quota.
- Creates sales strategy, reporting, and pipeline for assigned accounts.
- Provides Supervisor and other sales management staff with timely trip reports, call interaction reports, and forecasting data for their territory.
- Provides coverage for other sales department members as needed to provide our customers with uninterrupted service due to lower manpower levels.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and making recommendations to management for resolution.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Education:
- May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Account Management.
- Customer Acquisition.
- Inside Sales.
- Relationship Development.
- Sales Promotions.
- Customer Service.
- Working knowledge of MS office applications; especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM; Maintain accurate customer records and log opportunities received from distribution and/or rep firms.
Pay Range: $44,000-$52,000/annually
