About Us:
CALSTART is a mission-driven industry organization focused on transportation decarbonization and clean air for all.
For over 30 years, it’s been CALSTART’s mission to develop, assess, and implement large-scale, zero-emission transportation solutions to mitigate climate change and support economic growth. CALSTART works with businesses, organizations, governments, and communities to create real-life impact toward clean air and equitable access to clean transportation for all. CALSTART provides scientific, technical and policy support for regulatory development and clean technology and infrastructure acceleration.
About The Role: The Junior Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in translating complex program policies and business needs into clear, testable software requirements for multiple program teams using Salesforce and related tools. This role is focused on requirements of quality and SDLC execution, ensuring that work entering delivery is well-defined, measurable, and fully “interlocked” into development and testing practices. The JBA partners closely with Senior BA, Program teams, Project/Program Managers, Salesforce Admins, Developers (internal and vendor), and QA/UAT stakeholders to drive clarity, reduce rework, and support consistent delivery outcomes across the lifecycle from intake through release. This position is critical in fast-moving environments where multiple stakeholders (internal teams, external partners, and developers) are contributing feedback simultaneously. The Technical Analyst protects delivery momentum by creating structure, clarity, and a single source of truth across UAT, backlog management, and solution alignment. CALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The rate for this contract position is $40 per hour. This is a 40 hour per week contract position with the possibility to extend as well as convert to full time if the needs arise.
