From our Central Distribution Centre (CDC) in Kampen, we yearly ship over 130.000 spare parts deliveries worldwide to our customers. These deliveries consist of more than 900.000 items such as bolts, filters, screws or engine blocks, and crankshafts for the biggest cruise ships. </p>

<p>In this role, you will lead a team of approximately fifteen experienced transport professionals who coordinate the logistics and transportation processes for all these deliveries. You bring remote teams to work successfully together and interact with (internal) stakeholders in different areas. You will further develop your team, secure delivery performance to our customers, and continuously look for ways to improve operations. Our transport professionals are located in Vaasa (Finland) and Kampen. Carrier management and shipping is handled by a global outsourcing partner. This position is in Vaasa, Finland. You report to the Manager Global Distribution who is located in Kampen.<br/>

<p>What are your main tasks and responsibilities?</p>
<ul>
<li>You lead and coach the members of your team and ensure the personal development and growth of all team members.</li>
<li>Support and participate in operational development projects. Contribute in the creation of action plans, and ensure actions are timely implemented.</li>
<li>You ensure operations performance and efficiency, meeting set targets and KPIs. Ensure compliance of agreed operational procedures within own team.</li>
<li>Resolve potential issues and escalations in an optimised and timely manner.</li>
<li>Monitor and report the performance of own team and area(s). Contribute to the planning of resourcing, to manage the impact of possible sales fluctuations.</li>
<li>Establish a budget for own cost center and follow-up costs.</li>

<p>What do we expect from you?</p>
<ul>
<li>You hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or similar.</li>
<li>Transportation experience in the field of international logistics. Experience in delivery documentation, invoicing, customs, and/or transportation is seen as an advantage.</li>
<li>Passionate about people and helping others grow with proven leadership and team-building skills.</li>
<li>You are a strong organiser with a structured approach to complete targets, proactive, and a solution-oriented problem solver.</li>
<li>Proven skills in leadership, teamwork, and coaching along with experience in change management.</li>
<li>Fluent in written and spoken English.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel.</li>
