Job Description

The Shift Coordinator is responsible for all TEF associates..  This person must ensure coverage for absenteeism and move technicians to applicable positions based on production coverage needs and the qualification matrix.

 

Must have great interpersonal skills and a desire to lead others.  Responsible for gaining and maintaining general knowledge of machines throughout the factory, including troubleshooting, making adjustments, setting up parameters, etc.

You are responsible for completing the required training measures, as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the appropriate BPS Standards and 6S Standards.  As a Bosch associate working in TEF, you are expected to maintain a positive work environment by following the appropriate safety procedures. You must be open and willing to lead and assist others throughout the department.

You must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours a day and have excellent use of your hands.

Manage and track vacation requests of associates.

Approve / reject vacation requests to ensure to meet production requirements according to the local policy.

Communicate overtime announcement and create/coordinate the overtime schedule.

Update and track the daily exception report for the time analyst.

Manage qualification process and matrix

Coordinate the weekly upgrade form for payroll and send copy of signed qualification forms and weekly upgrade file to the HR partner.

Reinforce all escalation processes pertaining to pay related topics.

Support with investigation and provide performance input to the supervisor.

Run and coordinate the shop floor based on production needs.

Pursue goal of PPT work order usage by every technician.

Oversee the actions of other technicians on the shift.

Guide and direct other technicians as needed.

Handle and resolve issues as they arise – escalate issues to management when necessary.

Pursue goal that each tech use SAP to look up and check out materials. 

Qualifications

Able to lead and work successfully with a team

High level of integrity (doing the right thing when no one is looking)

Excellent communication skills with associates and management

Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly

General technical skills

Ability to multitask

Good Standing in the following areas: Attendance, Reliability, Performance

Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited school

Understanding of all processes in the value stream

Good communication with associates regarding most HR or any other related communication
