JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Line Manager (PLM) provides strategic direction for private label product programs, partnering closely with Product Development to support key account assortments.
The PLM defines key account specific line architecture, pricing strategy, and assortment decisions while serving as the central point of accountability for product direction, execution, and performance.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned product categories, from ideation through launch and end to end in-season management to closeout across all private label programs
Partner with core business Product Line Managers to develop cohesive assortment architecture, ensuring private label and key account programs align with overall architecture, pricing ladders, and margin frameworks
Identify assortment gaps, growth opportunities, and rationalization needs using customer insights and performance analysis
Make recommendations that influence category growth, margin performance, and customer specific market positioning
Lead the creation of private label product briefs that clearly articulate consumer targets, customer requirements, pricing intent, margin goals, and key features
Partner with Product Development and Design to define product intent, priorities, and success criteria, while Product Development leads technical execution and commercialization
Define private label and key account specific product strategies with Product Line Management team, ensuring consistency with category architecture, brand positioning, and seasonal priorities
Establish pricing intent, margin targets, and product positioning frameworks for customer-specific assortments
Ensure accuracy and consistency of product direction with Product Development including maintaining detailed style and SKU level assortment documents and systems
Ensure merchandising tools, presentations, and internal resources reflect current product strategy and assortment direction
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in product management, merchandising, or product development within apparel, sportswear, uniforms, or related categories
Demonstrated ability to own product categories and exercise professional judgment aligned to business objectives
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales, market, and consumer data
Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with PLM systems preferred
Travel up to 20%, including seasonal peaks tied to product milestones and sales meetings
Preferred
Experience managing large private label and key account product programs
Familiarity with margin planning, pricing strategy, and SKU rationalization
Experience supporting both wholesale and customer-specific assortments
