The Chassis Systems Control NAFTA Product Division develops innovative solutions for active driving safety including highly automated driving. Areas include: Antilock Braking Systems(ABS), Traction Control Systems(TCS), Electronic Stability Control(ESC), Sensors (wheel-speed, steering-angle, and yaw-rate); Electronics for occupant and pedestrian safety (airbag control and crash sensors), Driver assistance systems (Predictive Emergency Braking, and Night Vision Networked solutions) As a leading supplier in the automotive industry, Robert Bosch LLC has made its Farmington Hills and Plymouth Michigan facilities the headquarters for its North American automotive businesses. These facilities house more than 1,700 associates who are dedicated to improving relationships with our customers and furthering Bosch's technologies

Job Description

 

  • Seeking a highly motivated System Architect Project Responsible for North American chassis controls active safety projects with focus on brake system and vehicle motion features.
  • Ability to work with the engineering development team globally.
  • Technical interface and first point of contact to the customer on requirements
  • Management of customer requirements (incl. planning of features)
  • Collect and analyze basic system requirements and constraints.
  • Derive system requirements, analyze the system requirements, coordinate the technical development.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years’ experience with embedded software development.(can include internship or co-op experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • MS degree in Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in automotive or embedded control systems.
  • Experience with diagnostics development & CAN/J1939 network protocols; Test & measurement equipment; Hardware-in-the-loop testing equipment & procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Past experience dealing with OEM customers with strong negotiation skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills to work in a global organization.
