Overview of the Role 

• We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial strategy. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will provide deep financial analysis, drive data-driven decision-making, and support core accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management. The right candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, a knack for turning data into actionable insights, and the drive to grow into a leadership role.  
• Location: Hybrid - Schaumburg, IL Office (3 - 4 days in office)
• Salary range range $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills

What You’ll Do at C.A. Carlin 

• Financial Planning & Analysis 
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement 
  • Prepare and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and reports for senior leadership to support strategic decision-making 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planning models 
  • Provide variance analysis and explanations comparing actuals to budget/forecast 
• Data-Driven Decision Support 
  • Create and maintain dynamic financial models to support operational and strategic decisions 
  • Deliver actionable recommendations based on financial and operational data analysis 
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and other teams to translate financial data into meaningful business insights 
• Accounting Operations 
  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle: invoicing, aging reports, collections, and customer communication 
  • Oversee accounts payable: vendor invoicing, payment schedules, and accuracy checks 
  • Handle bank deposits, perform reconciliations, and support day-to-day cash management activities 
• Reporting & Compliance 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal reports 
  • Ensure all financial processes comply with internal controls, policies, and applicable regulations 
  • Support audits and documentation for regulatory reporting as needed 
• Process Optimization & Cost Management 
  • Monitor company expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings 
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy 
• Strategic & Ad-Hoc Projects 
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses, such as product profitability, pricing models, investment opportunities, or expansion planning 
  • Support M&A evaluations, capital planning, or scenario modeling as needed
