POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Accounting Leader, in accordance with GAAP and other organizational principles and objectives, the Technical Accounting Specialist II (TAS II) is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the financial statements. The TAS II performs cash management, assistance with AR and AP, along with other accounting duties. This role provides prompt, accurate, courteous, "best in class" service to the Profit Center, our partners, the leadership team, and all staff.


Essential Duties and Functions:
• Reviewing cash management for proper deposits and balances
• Responsible for all aspects of cash receipts, researching and contacting account managers with discrepancies.
• Cash application in a timely and accurate manner
• Identify processing expectations that inhibit application efficiencies and recommend solutions
• Managing Logged & Unapplied Payments
• Manage money moves and ACH transactions
• POC for cash movement questions/issues in the various bank accounts
• Daily Deposits
• Void checks
• Maintain and reconcile accounts with Excel knowledge.
• Can perfume with high volume remittance processing and can multi-task
• Manage and assist operation teammates/Account Managers in reconciliation, error correction, and account record maintenance
• Vendor review and processing
• Assisting the AR Manager in cash collections
• Assisting Account Managers with posting of payments, renewals, etc.
• Direct Debit & Refund Administration
• Assisting the Accounting Leader and Senior Accountant with Month-End Close

• Prepares in-depth financial analyses and research to support, and facilitate timely management decisions and/or financial reports or statements
• Develops and maintains documented accounting systems and desktop procedures for fiscal functions and assists in the development of company internal control policies and procedures
• Completes ad hoc reporting as requested by Finance and other internal departments.

Required
• 1+ years’ experience in corporate accounting and finance or a similar position
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and at minimum an intermediate-level user of Excel
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Personal flexibility around the monthly close cycle to execute tight deadlines
